Okay, sorry I haven't been talking, ain't checked this account in a while.
Busy with work etc. (I've done about 6 hours overtime in three days )= )
Anyhoo,
About the club thing, this would mean we need a president, treasurer,
secratary, etc. which doesn't really fit with a LAN style group, so it is
possible for us to have different positions, or mixed positions? Eg,
Secratary, who also handles and advises the network, President who also
handles mosto f the stuff (ACE!:P), Treasurer who handles the musicbox and
now server, etc.
When it comes to having to hold an AGM, we could just do that in the
couple of hours before wiLANga starts, on every second wiLANga?
On the topic of a legal waiver, while it is a good idea, I do wonder how
much it would cost. Another thing is that it still does not completely
cover us. AFAIK, a waiver will be ignored by a court is we are to blame
for gross negligence etc.
I would suggest insurance. Again, ASAIB, the halls insurance would only
cover what they provide and maintain. Anything WE bring in (computers,
powerboards, etc.) that fails / causes injury or damage is OUR PROBLEM,
not theirs. They're only hiring out the hall to us.
And Simon, we're totally legal ... >.>
My two cents.
