Hey everyone!

There's only a week until WiLANga is on again, so here's some information you may or may not need.

If you weren't at the last one, we used this neat program called ApexDC++ for filesharing and chatting. The thing about ApexDC++ is that if you want to share a lot of files, you're going to need to go through a process called "hashing", in which the program goes through all of your crap and indexes it.

So if your collection of totally legal and copyright-free files exceeds about, say, 20 gigs, you're probably going to want to download ApexDC++ (link below) and hash everything well before the big night. If you can't be bothered, that's fine, but you might be spending the first hour or two hashing stuff. (To select a folder to hash: File > Settings > Sharing)

Also, make absolutely sure you've got a CAT5 cable for every computer you're bringing. There is no guarantee we'll have enough for you at this one, and it'd be a shame if you brought your awesome new computer but couldn't plug it into the network.
